The
VAESGR is a Department of Defense sponsored all-volunteer committee
of business, community and military leaders dedicated to assisting our nation
in fielding a strong, prepared and valued National Guard and Reserve force.
The
National Committee for Employer
Support of the Guard and Reserve (NCESGR) is a Department of Defense organization
that works with employers, reservists, military leadership, and 54 volunteer
committees, including the Virginia Committee, to build and maintain a strong
base of support for the role of the National Guard and Reserve in our Nation's
defense. The Heros of this effort are the members of the Guard and Reserve and
the Employers who cooperate in supporting their participation in sustaining
a great National Defense. The basis for the work of the ESGR is written in law.

and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994 (USERRA) outlines rights and responsibilities
of employers and reservists.
